There’s no BBQ like a Santa Maria BBQ

Swedish spices and seasonings expert Santa Maria introduced its brand-new range of BBQ products exclusively at Belgian food retailer Delhaize with an in-store buy-and-win campaign. The main prize: a fully catered BBQ dinner for the winner and ten of his/her friends. All the Delhaize shoppers had to do for a chance to win, was buy a product from the BBQ range, take a picture of the meal they prepared with it (with the product itself clearly visible in the picture) and upload it to www.santamariaworld.com/nl. The ensuing entries were nothing short of inspirational and made us fire up our own BBQ sets with fresh new recipe ideas! Our part of the story: creating the print adverts, in-store side flags, leaflets and online banners that popularised the campaign with the target audience.

Adding Taste to our everyday dinners

Swedish food company Santa Maria is best know for its high-quality spices and seasonings, and its inspiringly delicious international food concepts. Its corporate global ‘Add Taste…’ campaign strongly committed to making people explore new tastes and flavour combinations, and boldly set out to entice consumers with inspirational recipes, mouth-watering food photography and fresh culinary ideas. The challenge for us was to translate that global concept to the Benelux market with slogans, culinary advice and communication tools fit for this local microsegment. Print adverts, recipe leaflets, online bannering campaigns, competition webpages and retail/culinary website partnerships were our collective communication weapons of choice, and they sure didn’t miss their mark.
